Meet George

George Manghan was born and raised in the region and is a colleague of Graham and Russell and a friend of the whole team. Prior to becoming a Police Officer, George was a Chef and also served in the RAF for 12 years. During that time, he was part of the 1991 Gulf war, where he experienced firsthand the sort of thing that Help for Heros is working for today. Therefore, when asked to join the support team for Viking Hiking, George didn't hesitate.

Although he is not the youngest memeber of the team and definately the least fit; George is working, with the help of Murphy his Black Labrador, to regain his sylph like figure and athleticism of his youth......Admittedly, so far without success!

George is now very pleased to be undertaking the challenge with the rest of the team and although will not be climbing the mountains, shall be team support, base camp manager and generally chief cook and bottle washer!!!
